Dagong Global Credit Rating has published a world ranking of neobanks.

Neobank – The prefix neo in the new term „neobank” in Greek means „new” (from the Greek neos new), i.e. neobanks are upgraded and modernised banks, typically modernised with trendy functionality and forms of communication and information transfer including basic elements like internet (websites, offices) and mobile financial institution (apps, messaging, telephone management).

The rating includes only full-fledged banks operating under banking licenses and beneath full control of hyperregulators. Payment systems and organisations operating beneath cost operators’ licences usually are not included within the rating.
